Grandpa and Grandma Lloyd were up from California and decided to take in Skyler's soccer game. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate, and they only played a half.

A day with Skyler

On Monday afternoon and Tuesday the 30th, Cheryl and I had Skyler. We had a great time. On Tuesday she spent some time playing with Olivia Madsen. I did a science project with the girls when they were at our house. We learned about magnets, learned how to create an electromagnet and magnetized a needle. Later when the girls were down stairs playing with Thomas the train they called me down to show me that the magnets that connected the train cars together had north and south poles and that matching poles repelled each other and non matching attracted. The girls played well together and actually cleaned up one project before starting another, much to our surprise.

A Visit to Santa

When we had all the grandkids with us down at Thanksgiving in St. George we decided to make a visit to the mall and visit Santa. As you can see Kennady wasn't exactly thrilled with the whole idea. This was actually the second take and we basically threw her up on the chair with Santa and the other kids and said snap the picture as quick as you can. Her face was as red as Santa's suit. Andon and Ellyit seem to be transfixed by something to their right (probably Grandma) and Skyler was picture perfect. A trip to Santa is always an experience. We love it.

Well we made it through Halloween! It is my lest favorite holiday, but now that we have grandkids, it's not so bad. We look forward to seeing them and the fun that they have. We planned to take all the grandkids to the pumpkin patch, but we ran out of time. We had been having Estate sale/garage sales for grandma's things the past few Saturdays. With that and closing down the pool and winterizing our house and Grandma Sutherland's house we ran out of time. So we went with Court and his family on the Monday night before Halloween. It was fun but not enough time. We also got to have Skyler, Ellyit, and Kennady come to our ward Halloween party on Wednesday night. They were all so cute. If they had the best costume contest, I think that they all would of won. They were all wearing wings, so we tried to get pictures of that. Keith posted the pictures in a slideshow (you'll be able to tell who was taking the pictures, since one grandchild was featured alot) We hope that you had a great halloween with your families and friends.
